Conquering the Mount Kinabalu

Climbing hills and mountains wasn't my cup of tea. I mean wasn't, don't I ? Last week, on the 13 and 14th of May, i experienced the limits of my physical and mental fitness, when i came face to face to the famous Mount Kinabalu.

It was the 3rd day of my trip to sabah, with my friend daren, pam, chan ling and foong yan. Before that , we had water rafting, and it was real cool and exciting as well. But nothing comparable to climbing the mountain. When i started the 1st km, i could not bear with the weight and my rapid heart rate that i stopped and felt like fainting, then the guide said " I rasa dia tak boleh naik, baik dia balik. " When i heard that i feel like losing faith, then my dear bf said " no , she can do it one. " so i struggled and moved on.

After 6km, we stopped and rest in a rest house called Laban rata. There we had heavy dinner and went to sleep after that. ( But i could not sleep , cause the guy opposite snoring - we had to share the room with strangers) At 2am in the morning , we started the slow and suffering climb to the summit. I think i looked like a bandit with a mask on. ( 1st pic)
So many times the strong wind blew and the cold freezed into our blood, i moved on, stopping every 5 minutes. In a rocky desert of wilderness, people could be weak and small to Mother Nature. Daren scolded me once and again " you don want to go up is it ? " " you cant see the sunrise liao" so I pulled myself up.

Chan ling was the first to reach the summit, followed by Daren. I was the last. Too bad, due to sick and weak, pam and foong yan only made to 8km, but i think they were so brave as well.

Genting trip with classmates

it must have been years since i last write anything on my dear blog .Now at last, something worth writing has happened. Same old ppl, same old faces,same old place, but not the same brains anymore, the new vets are out to the GENTING world of fun and leisure, guys !! ( huh? is this a joke ? )
straight after the announcement of our results, 10 of us went to genting for kind of farewell gathering. 2 bapa ayam brought 8 anak ayam to the casino to try their luck. and guess what, Queen of gambles - chan ling lost quite a lot of money.... kekekekek. Lady luck was on 2 bapa ayam sides, in which ck won about 0.2 k .
only 5 of us went to the outdoor themepark. 3 of us tried the flying coaster ( 2nd pic) , which looked fun. ( I decided not to spend anymore after losing 0.02k)
It was a real fun thing, and i forgot to mention the haunted house, boy did i screamed ( just for the fun of it, heehee )
